WHY THE 29th CHAPTER?

You may ask yourself where the name comes from or why are they called The 29th Chapter? The name was birthed out of the original name, which was Acts 29. This name was taken from the Bible, which contains a book called ‘Acts’. This book is about the disciples of Jesus. After Jesus leaves the earth and returns to Heaven, He sends His Holy Spirit who gives the disciples amazing power. They go out preaching and sharing the good news of what Jesus has done to save mankind. They see many awesome things happen and God works through them bringing healing, miracles and changing lives. (Check the ‘truth’ page for more info on how your life can be changed).

There are 28 chapters in the book of Acts and The 29th Chapter’s vision is to be the continuation of that book. Continuing to share the good news of Jesus and see God’s mighty power work through them to see lives changed. Ultimately every follower of Jesus Christ is called to continue the work established in the book of Acts and The 29th Chapter look to set a trend for their generation and the generations after them to follow: encouraging and inspiring each person to take up their part in this mission and become part of the 29th Chapter.
